Mr Hein Hiestermann – Principle Consultant Global Industry Metals Mining & Cement – Rockwell Automation

In his role as Principle Consultant – Mining, Hein is responsible for the development and co-ordination of the delivery of mining projects that Rockwell Automation is involved with. Rockwell Automation has a team in all regions to enable Rockwell to deliver consistent and leading edge technology to mining customers around the globe. After graduating as Electrical engineer, Hein started his career in 1988 as E&I engineer for Gencor Mining company in South Africa, working in gold, platinum and coal mines as control engineer and later as consulting engineer. From 1997 he was the principle of a Rockwell Automation system integrator (HIPROM) until the acquisition of the company by Rockwell Automation in 2011. The focus of the mining team in Rockwell Automation is to ensure that best practice and consistency is provided globally to ensure that every project is delivered to the highest possible standard.
